  • Person who has influenced you the most in your life: I cannot name a single person, but I can say in all sincerity that my husband and my children have had the biggest human impact in making me the person that I am today.   I absolutely love being a wife and a mother!  I had a lot to learn when I got married at 17 years old and started a family a few years after that.  Through our family unit, God has taught me much about loving unconditionally, serving others, putting the needs of others before my own, and the importance of having a keeping a right relationship with God.  I’ve also learned that it’s not enough just to love others, but I have to be a lovable person in return, and that takes surrendering myself daily to Jesus Christ and allowing His perfect love to flow in and out of me.

Other than the gift of salvation, there is no greater blessing in my life than my family. God has blessed me much more than I deserve. He has given me the most wonderful, loving, and devoted husband a woman could ever ask for. God has also blessed me with two precious daughters who are not only beautiful on the outside, but even more so on the inside. As a Christian parent, it is a sweet, sweet thing to watch your children come into their own spiritually. My girls have each developed a deep, personal, and intimate walk with Jesus that I have come to respect and admire.

I am privileged to have the opportunity to sing and minister alongside of my husband and our daughter. It amazes me all over again each time I step back and reflect on our lives and see how God, in His providence and in His time, worked in each of us, over the course of our lives, to bring us to this place of service to Him.

Singing with family has always been just a way of life for me. For as long as I can remember, music has been a big part of any family gathering! Some of the best memories I have growing up are ones of my mom, my brothers, my grandmother, my cousins, aunts and uncles all just sitting around singing. Honestly, that’s how we entertain ourselves when we get together…we sing! Most families play cards or games or just catch up on old times; we do that too, but no family gathering is ever complete until we spend some time around the piano or with the guitar just grabbing a part and going with it. When Roger and I married and had children, and the extended family grew, the tradition of just gathering together and singing has continued and is now something we all look forward to year after year at family reunions and Christmas!

God saved my soul when I was a young teenager; He rescued me from a path leading to Hell and firmly planted my feet on the road towards Heaven and my life has never been the same! He has brought me on an incredible journey from where I was as a child to where I am today. There is so much in my heart that I want to share with others about God’s unfailing love, provision, and grace and I am thankful beyond words that He has given me the gift of music as a means to do my part in fulfilling the Great Commission. God has put a song in my heart and has given me a desire to use my gifts to help lead others to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and to be an encourager to those who are already on this journey with me. Life can be tough…but God is good!
